US Manufactured Lotus Twin Cam Head

A New, US manufactured Lotus Twin Cam cylinder head is now available from Yarwood Engineering.  This new cylinder head is cast to latest Aerospace foundry standards and CNC machined.  Revised core tooling greatly improves water passage, oil drain and internal strengthening over the original casting.  In addition, after machining, the complete cylinder head it "HITPed" (hot isotropic pressure treatment) which compresses internal porosity, long a problem on original and even recent reproduction cylinder heads.  This greatly improves the cast surface finish so that it looks similar to die-cast surface. Initial production are intended for racing use and the inlet and exhaust ports are cored for use with racing sized valves.  With the close tolerances of the casting process and the superior finish, race "porting" will now simply consist of blending the seats to the ports and then the runner polished up with an abrasive "flapper" tool.  No more week long porting jobs required!  Heads come with all hardware, guides and seats.  Later production runs will have cored ports to standard size for road car use, and an improved price.

Remade from original 105E head casting to period specifications. Accepted throughout the world as correct. Choice of valve size, Isky springs, Ti retainers.

Pressure checked at 80deg C and 80psi 11.5:1 with flat top pistons.
